You can read my “official” about page here, but this promises to be much more fun! In no particular order, here are 25 random things you don’t (likely) know about me:

1. I am a dog person. I can’t resist their cuteness!
2. If I could play any female character, it would be Lagertha on Vikings. She’s not just fierce, she’s #fierce.
3. My favorite motivational quote is from the great Jim Rohn: “Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.”
4. I’ve visited 39 countries – and counting! I love to travel. It’s a good thing, too, because…
5. I’ve moved over 24 times in my life. Some of my previous addresses include Iceland, Germany, England, South Korea, and Turkey.
6. While in Turkey, I lived through the coup in 2016. It was the scariest night of my life – at one point, I thought I had died.
7. I am a huge Garfield fan. I may or may not have an extensive collection. 😉
8. I come from an illegitimate line of the English throne, and I’ve visited the castle that was once in my family. This probably explains why…
9. I am a sucker for a good BBC period drama.
10. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve wanted to be a detective. I’m not sure why I didn’t become one, but I live vicariously through Detective Olivia Benson of Law and Order: SVU.
11. I enjoy learning new things, and I recently finished a MBA in Entrepreneurship.
12. I love chocolate milk. I believe it gives you special organizing powers!
13. I was inspired to take a sign language class after seeing a deaf man struggle to order food at a restaurant – and I couldn’t help him.
14. The Container Store is paradise to me.
15. I don’t share my French fries, but I may steal yours. My friends and family have come to accept this double standard of mine – and love me anyway.
16. I took pottery in college expecting an easy “A.” It turned out to be one of the most challenging classes I’ve ever taken.
17. Christmas is my favorite holiday. The world would be a better place with more “holiday spirit” throughout the year!
18. I wholeheartedly believe you can’t go wrong with a lazy yacht rock Saturday afternoon.
19. When it comes to food, I can’t decide if I love Mexican or Italian more.
20. I am an old soul.
21. I don’t like being in deep water. I got my diving cert in hopes of overcoming this fear – it didn’t work.
22. My celebrity “kindred spirit” is Reese Witherspoon because she can spend hours organizing a sock drawer, just like me.
23. My favorite color is emerald green. It just makes me feel happy!
24. I am a veteran, and I’m very proud to have served my country. Without fail, I get goose bumps whenever I hear Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the U.S.A.”
